Solid Shampoo Bars (for Small Dogs)
If you’re not familiar with our fragrance menu visit our Pawfumery Page for all the details…
What is a Shampoo Bar?
Shampoo bars are solid, waterless blocks of concentrated shampoo. It replaces bottled liquid shampoo with an eco-friendly, plastic-free alternative. Formulated specifically for your dog’s skin and coat these bars contain colloidal oats, aloe vera and a really high glycerine content making them a great alternative to regular liquid shampoos.
Why Should I Use a Shampoo Bar?
The best thing about shampoo bars is their ease of use, particularly for big dogs or wiggly little ones you can get a pretty solid grip on the bar and use it directly so no more dropping slippery shampoo bottles or having puppy do a soggy, nudey run while your hands are busy elsewhere…
Second to that shampoo bars are made with highly concentrated natural ingredients that are free from harsh sulfates and other icky ingredients that strip natural oils from your fur baby’s coat leaving them itchy and prone to scratching. We use a pretty high glycerine content in our shampoo bars so it lathers different to what you’re used to with a liquid shampoo but leaves pup clean and fresh while maintaining their skin health and conditioning their coat all at the same time.
Key Ingredients; What Makes Us Different?
Colloidal Oats
Colloidal oats act as a natural, anti-inflammatory and protective agent for dogs. They relieve itchy, dry and irritated skin by locking in moisture, balancing skin pH and creating a soothing barrier against environmental allergens.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera can safely soothe, hydrate and heal your dog’s skin. Its natural cooling properties offer fast relief from itching, bug bites and minor rashes. It also acts as an antibacterial and antifungal agent aiding in the recovery of hot spots and minor wounds like those achieved from over-scratching.
Allantoin
This is a powerful, non-irritating botanical compound (mostly derived from comfrey root) that safely protects, soothes and heals your dog’s skin. It is highly prized in veterinary dermatology for promoting healthy cellular regeneration and restoring moisture balance in sensitive or damaged skin.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5)
Deeply hydrates, soothes irritation and supports healing in dogs. It acts as both a humectant to draw moisture and an emollient to lock it into the skin barrier. It leaves you dog’s fur softer and shinier while combating dryness, flaking and scratching.
Neem Oil
This benefits your dog’s skin by providing deep moisturisation, soothing irritation, fighting infections and naturally deterring pests. Its active compounds (like azadirachtin and nimbin) make it a very popular all-natural remedy for canine skincare. It’s also really good at keeping fleas at bay, they don’t like the smell.
